The Final Post
Sorry fellow followers, this has little to nothing to do with my blog.
Part I
What Kind of Mind Are You?
I believe that I have yielded a creative mind over the past year. I always seem to find a way to present new information to class discussions, be it appropriate or not. An example of this creativity can actually be found within this blog. At one point, I define the average cost of an abortion and equate it with the value of a human life. This new way of thinking engages the Pro-Choice reader and forces them to re-evaluate their misconceptions of abortion.
Part II
In addition to the classification of my mind, I believe that I have exhibited curiosity, experimented with new ideas, and asked provocative questions throughout the past two semesters. I exhibit curiosity with my thirst for knowledge. I experiment with new ideas when I choose a topic for class papers. I ask provocative questions almost daily. What did you learn that surprised you the most after developing your blog?
I was astonished with the final vote of my followers on my poll. Despite following my blog, evaluating the facts, and viewing my horrific videos, most people voted in favor of keeping abortion legal. I just don't understand why people would want this abominable process to continue to be apart of America. Hopefully, the small sample of votes in which my poll received do not accurately summarize this nation's view on abortion. Hopefully, people want to permanently outlaw abortion.

Fetus Wars: Monstrous Majority
I am extremely dismayed with the lack of respect for the life of the unborn. The monstrous majority of our nation claim that abortion should remain in legal. What are you people basing your argument on? It's a womans right?!?! Look at the information that has been presented for you in this blog. This merely scrapes the surface of the evidence that a fetus is a living being in the womb. Yet, you hang on to this notion that it is the right of the mother to decide. Those who support abortion and have had an abortion should never be able to care for children. You obviously don't know what is best for any living being. You should be thankful that you are able to have children. About 10 percent of women (6.1 million) in the United States ages 15-44 have difficulty getting pregnant or staying pregnant, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). These people would consider pregnancy a blessing. Pro-choice individuals need to take a step back and recognize their responsibility to the unborn. Now, if you disagree with anything, why don't you leave a comment??? I'll get back to you.
Fetus War: Abortion Poll
Although the poll has yet to end, I would like to make an analysis. The question I asked was, "Should Abortion be legal?" Despite having the majority of my blog followers being Catholic, merely five of the eighteen voters thought that abortion should not be legal. This means that the remaining thirteen thought that abortion should be and remain legal. Despite being a small sample, I believe that this result is accurate for America. I do believe that the majority of Americans think that abortion should never be outlawed. It is a tragedy that so many should pointlessly die so that a mother might live the way she wishes. Hopefully, America and her people will one day realize the mistake that they have made and take measures to ensure it never happens again.

Fetus Wars: How Does America Rank In This World of Abortions?
In 1995, Africa had 5 million abortions. Europe had a slightly higher number of abortions, 7.7 million abortions. Latin America had around 4.2 million abortions in 1995. North America had the lowest number of abortions with 1.5 million. Asia, on the other hand, topped the charts with 26.8 million abortions. The reason for these varying numbers is quite easily explained: landmass is the cause of the great gap between Asia and the rest of the world. The abortion rates, per 1,000 women in each region of the Earth, are very similar to each other. The abortion rate in 1995 in Africa and Asia was 33 per every 1,000 women. The rate in North America was 22. Latin America had a rate of 37. Europe topped the charts with 48 abortions per every 1,000 women. While America is the lowest of all the major regions of the Earth, the number of abortions is still too high. Americans must work to outlaw abortion and persuade the world to follow suit.
Fetus Wars: Reasons for Abortion
Why women want to have an abortion:
Women have many reasons for not wanting to be pregnant, and thus to seek an abortion. Many are related to:
-AGE: Most abortions are done on women under the age of 25.
-MARITAL STATUS: Most women seeking abortions are unmarried; many other are separated from their spouse.
-ECONOMIC STATUS: Many are poor and feel that they cannot afford to raise a child.
In a study by Torres and Forrest (1998) -- based on 1987 data -- women gave an average of 3.7 reasons for wanting an abortion: 1,2
-The vast majority (in excess of 90%) of abortions are sought for personal reasons:
-21% feel that they do not have the financial resources to bring up a child.
-21% feel that they are not ready for the responsibility of raising a child.
-16% feel that their life would be changed too much. She might have a plan for her future (education, developing a career, etc.) that does not allow for having a child at the present time. She might be looking after an elderly parent and does not have sufficient time or energy to commit to a baby.
-12% feel that her relationship with her partner is in difficulty.
-11% feel that they are too young, and not sufficiently mature to become a mother.
-In 8% of the cases, her children are grown and she does not want to start another family, or she has all the children that she wants.
-Some of these reasons may be influenced by:
-Pressure from the father or from her parents to have an abortion.
-She feels that she lacks the emotional and physical strength to go through another pregnancy and raise the child.
-She believes that raising an additional child would short-change her existing children.
-She is a student and/or without a partner; she feels that raising a child would be too difficult and disruptive at her time in life.
-She doesn't want other people to know that she became pregnant.
-A child would interfere with her career or education.
-She may fear physical abuse from a parent if they learn of her pregnancy.
-She may fear being tossed out onto the street by a parent if they learn of her pregnancy.
-In the case of a multiple pregnancy, the woman may be faced with giving birth to more newborns than she feels she can deal with.
-About 6% of all abortions are sought because either the woman or fetus has medical reasons:
-The fetus might have been hurt by exposure to high levels of toxic chemicals, medications that might be dangerous to the fetus, alcohol, drugs, etc. They may cause the fetus to be genetically damaged.
-Some girls become pregnant at a very young age, when pregnancy can be dangerous.
-The fetus has a genetic defect or other health problem. Almost all of the couples who find that the fetus suffers from Down's Syndrome, or a similar defect, elect to have an abortion.
-The woman may develop eclampsia. This involves a sudden increase in blood pressure, and onset of seizures. The results can be fatal to both the woman and fetus. This used to be called toxemia of pregnancy.
-In the case of a multiple pregnancy -- quintuplets, sextuplets, etc. -- some or all of the fetuses will end up with various long-term health problems; some may not survive at all. Physicians will sometimes recommend a selective reduction process where one or more fetuses are killed in order that the remaining fetuses would be born normal.
-About 1% of all abortions are sought because of abusive sexual act:
-About ten to fifteen thousand abortions (approximately 1%) annually are sought because the conception occurred after rape or during an incestuous relationship, and the woman does not want to bear a child who was conceived in violence.

Fetus Wars
These scientific facts should be enough to persuade women to abandon abortions forever. Sadly, it is not......
1.) The heart of a fetus begins beating at 18 days [when the mother is only four days late for her first menstrual period], and by 21 days it is pumping, through a closed circulatory system, blood whose type is different from that of the mother.
----This fact establishes a live human being with a different blood supply than that of the mother.
2.) Brain waves of fetus' have been recorded at 40 days on the Electroencephalogram (EEG)
----Once again, this proves the existence of a new human being.
3.) At eight (8) weeks, a fetus begins to feel pain. At the eight (8) week mark, the fetus' neuro-anatomic structures are present. What is needed is (1) a sensory nerve to feel the pain and send a message to (2) the thalamus, a part of the base of the brain, and (3) motor nerves that send a message to that area. These are present at 8 weeks. The pain impulse goes to the thalamus. It sends a signal down the motor nerves to pull away from the hurt.
----This can be illustrated with a simple and logical example.
Try sticking an infant with a pin and you know what happens. She opens her mouth to cry and also pulls away.
Try sticking an 8 week old human fetus in the palm of his hand. He opens his mouth and pulls his hand away.
A more technical description would add that changes in heart rate and fetal movement also suggest that intrauterine manipulations are painful to the fetus.

Fetus Wars: America's View on Abortion
What a shame. How could a mother defile her unborn child in such a way? Does she not realize the life in which she has been entrusted to protect? If a mother can kill her own child, why should murder be illegal for the rest of the citizens of the United States? What has the world come to?

This video illustrates the painful reality of a partial birth abortion. Although it isn't too graphic, the thought of it is sickening. I urge those with a weak stomach to watch with caution. This video demonstrates one of the most heinous crimes known to mankind. The procedure is disturbing and sickening. It makes one think about what would drive a mother to do such a thing to their child.

Fetus Wars: Value of a Life
Nearly all the inhabitants of this earth agree that one cannot put a price tag on life. However, the average abortion costs a mere 400$. It appears as if life already has a price tag. Why is this price tag so low? There must be a sale.

Despite the new scientific findings about the ability of a fetus to feel, women continue to have abortions. Why is this so? Why do women feel that they have the right to end another human beings life? The fact remains, that abortion is murder, and murder is illegal. Why isn't abortion illegal? It makes about as much sense as Obama in the White House.
